SALEM, MASS.-The Annual Antiques Show at the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) returns Thanksgiving weekend, 2008. The event will feature nearly 30 dealers from England and across the United States showcasing exceptional silver, furniture, paintings, porcelain, jewelry, and decorative accessories. Proceeds from the show support the museum's many education programs, which benefit thousands of children and families each year. The Antiques Show runs Saturday, Nov. 29 and Sunday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry to the show is included with museum admission (Adults, $15; seniors, $13; students, $11; 16 and under and residents of Salem, free).
The Show kicks off with a spectacular preview party on Friday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m., a long-standing Antiques Show tradition. Guests will have an advanced glimpse of the dealer booths while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. Tickets for the preview party are $125 with advance purchase, and $150 at the door. A special raffle will feature a prize of an exquisite full- size Oriental rug courtesy of Landry & Arcari Oriental Rugs & Carpeting. Tickets for the raffle are $10 per ticket. Drawing will be held on Sunday at the conclusion of the Show.
Tickets may be purchased in advance, at the Preview Party or during the entire Antiques Show weekend. You do not have to present at drawing to win.
